# Pundit lauds ‘dynamic’ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during Liverpool UCL win

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon was full of praise for [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/07/journalist-claims-liverpool-have-asked-for-information-on-denis-zakaria/) midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during the win over AC Milan in the San Siro.

The Reds went to Italy with the top spot in [Group B](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/standings/) well and truly wrapped up and Jurgen Klopp took advantage by naming a rotated side to face the Serie A leaders.

Part of that rotation saw Oxlade-Chamberlain return to the starting XI having recently lost his place to [Thiago](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/02/alan-hutton-labels-liverpool-midfielder-thiago-out-of-this-world/) in the Premier League.

Speaking to [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/57740717), Lennon suggests that the 28-year-old may have done enough to warrant a prolonged opportunity.

> I’d love to see Oxlade-Chamberlain keep fit for a while and get a run in the team. He’s been so dynamic tonight.

The former Arsenal man has been enjoying an impressive season thus far and earned a [7.0 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/10577) last night.

Caped on [35 occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/nationalmannschaft/spieler/143424/verein_id/3299) by England, Oxlade-Chamberlain has provided [two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/leistungsdaten/spieler/143424) in 18 appearances across all competitions this term.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Dynamic is spot on.

Injury-free and seemingly full of confidence, the ‘Ox’ provides a [whole new dimension](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/84146/Show/Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain) to Klopp’s midfield ranks and can be an effective weapon moving forwards in this campaign.

Still very much involved on four fronts, the German manager will need the entire [squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) to compete for major honours at the end of the season.

It’s Aston Villa up next for the Reds at Anfield and Thiago may have to displace the [£16.2million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/marktwertverlauf/spieler/143424) ace in training this week.
