# Pundit says Jurgen Klopp must ‘daydream’ about signing Federico Chiesa

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/07/pundit-claims-liverpool-cannot-afford-mohamed-salah-contract-rift/) have been extensively linked with a sensational move for Juventus star [Federico Chiesa](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/27/virals-liverpool-strongly-linked-with-federico-chiesa/) in recent months.

The 23-year-old came to the [forefront of attention](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/teams/players/250090398--federico-chiesa/) around Europe during Italy’s successful Euro 2020 campaign in the summer.

Since then Chiesa has [continued to impress](https://www.sofascore.com/player/federico-chiesa/845386) for both club and country amidst ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

Despite [suffering defeat](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58820411) against Spain in the UEFA Nations League semi-final, the direct running of the Genova-born ace was once again a shining light for the Azzurri.

Former Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney was full of praise for Chiesa whilst on commentary duty for [Virgin Media Sport](https://www.virginmedia.com/tv/channels/sports).

Given the rapid rise to prominence since joining Juventus on a two-year loan deal, it seems almost inevitable that the Serie A giants will trigger a [£36million option to buy](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/juventus-sign-chiesa-on-loan-from-fiorentina/s7cg9wzh3zm119nwhngrdp94) from Fiorentina.

Awarded [best attacker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/erfolge/spieler/341092) at the Euros, signing Chiesa would be a remarkable coup for the Anfield club.

Supremely [versatile](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/341092), the Italian would offer sensational depth to Klopp’s squad and perhaps the ideal big-name replacement further down the line.

Valued at £63million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/marktwertverlauf/spieler/341092)), it seems highly unlikely that Liverpool could pull off such an expensive transfer.
