# Pundit waxes lyrical over Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott

Former Premier League defender Lee Dixon has been waxing lyrical over [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/03/opinion-takumi-minamino-was-the-star-for-heavily-rotated-liverpool-side/) starlet [Harvey Elliott](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/23/opinion-harvey-elliott-can-come-full-circle-with-starting-role-vs-leeds-united/).

The 18-year-old has recently returned from a serious ankle dislocation and has already [made an impression](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harvey-elliott/955245) on Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Despite missing five months in mid-season, the attacking midfielder looks [determined to influence](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2022/02/06/harvey-elliott-liverpool-vs-cardiff-goal-video/) the end of the campaign as the Reds go in search of more trophies.

Speaking during the [ITV coverage](https://www.itv.com/news/sport) of Liverpool’s 3-1 FA Cup victory over Norwich City, Dixon was full of praise for Elliott after the ace replaced Curtis Hones at half-time.

> Curtis Jones was already Man of the Match for me, he was superb. But this is Harvey Elliott. What a talent. What a future.

Elliott’s 45-minute cameo earned a [7.30 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harvey-elliott/955245) as the teenager created one big chance, completed one dribble and had 55 touches.

What a future indeed.

The [£13.5million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/marktwertverlauf/spieler/565822) star is already having an impact on the big stage and Klopp knows just how precious the England youth international is.

With plenty of [big games to come](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2021-22/men/fixtures-and-results) this season, it wouldn’t be at all surprising should Elliott have at least one huge moment between now and May.
