# Real Madrid will battle Liverpool for Alisson

Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson this summer, but according to [Tim Vickery](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11389070/real-madrid-rivalling-liverpool-for-alisson-signature-says-tim-vickery), they’ll face competition from Real Madrid for his signature.

Madrid are hardly the most popular club in Liverpool at the moment after Saturday’s Champions League final and there will be even more animosity shown towards them if they manage to sign the Brazilian ahead of the Reds.

As reported by Sky Sports, Vickery says that Madrid are looking to upgrade the position and as such, they’re eyeing Alisson to come in and replace Kaylor Navas.

He said:

> I understand he is very happy at Roma but there is interest not only from Liverpool but from Real Madrid too. The asking price could increase or decrease depending on what happens during the World Cup. He’s an excellent goalkeeper. Brazil stuck with him last season when he spent almost the entire season on the bench for Roma. This season people have seen what a great goalkeeper he is. If he wants it, it looks like the options will be there to move on after the World Cup.

It does look like the 25-year-old could be on the move this summer, although the could be after the World Cup.

Whether he stay at Roma or moves to Liverpool, Real Madrid or anywhere else, remains to be seen.
