# Reds eyeing Mathew Ryan

Liverpool are monitoring the situation with Australia goalkeeper, Mathew Ryan. Simon Mignolet has failed to impress boss, Brendan Rodgers, who is seeking for potential replacements. The Club Brugge ‘keeper could be a potential target as Rodgers considers his options, according to media outlets such as *The Telegraph* and *The Guardian*.

However, this transfer may not happen in this transfer window. Liverpool are believed to be searching for two new goalkeepers now and will be ready to purchase in the summer window. Rodgers is concerned with Mignolet’s inability to adapt to Liverpool’s passing style of play.

Brad Jones is out of contract at the end of the season and with the club searching for two new ‘keepers, it seems highly unlikely that Jones will be at Anfield beyond this season.

Ryan, who is 22, recently signed a new contract with Belgium side, Club Brugge. Liverpool have been impressed with what they have seen of him and the young Aussie is under deep consideration from Liverpool’s transfer committee. Despite the new contract, it would be hard for Ryan to turn down a club of Liverpool’s stature and a chance to play in one of the top leagues in the world.
