# Reds look set to miss out on Alisson as Chelsea agree a fee

Liverpool look set to miss out on the signature of Roma’s Alisson as Premier League rivals Chelsea reportedly agreeing a €73 million fee.

As per a report from [Centro Suono Sport](https://www.forzaroma.info/calciomercato-as-roma/mercato-accordo-roma-chelsea-per-alisson-affare-da-73-milioni-di-euro/), the Blues have agreed to meet Roma’s asking price for the player.

The fee is said to be €65 million up front with a further €8 million in bonuses.

The player has already accepted a €5.5m contract offer from the club, as he prepares to replace Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have both been heavily linked with a move for Alisson, who enjoyed a standout season for Roma last time out.

Some reports have suggested Spain would be his preferred destination, but Chelsea appear to have stolen the march on their rivals in the transfer market.

Jurgen Klopp remains on the hunt for a new goalkeeper, with the Reds looking for an improvement on current number one Loris Karius ahead of the new season.
