# Reds looking at Ogbonna

Liverpool scouts are keen to watch Juventus centre-back Angelo Ogbonna if he plays in the Champions League final against Barcelona, according to ESPN FC.

Ogbonna could step in for the injured Giorgio Chiellini as Juventus go for the treble in Berlin.

The 27-year-old has been unable to nail down a regular place in the starting XI, but Massimiliano Allegri may turn to him for Saturday’s showdown with the Catalans.

The Italian international has made 18 starts for Juve this season, and the Reds have been monitoring his situation even though his contract has three years left to run in Turin.

With Martin Skrtel’s future in doubt after he described his latest contract offer as “unacceptable”, Brendan Rodgers, who is keen to improve in his defence, may ramp up his interest in Ogbonna.

West Ham United are also poised to make a move for the former Torino defender if he becomes available.

Ogbonna joined the Old Lady from Torino in 2013, but he has made just 32 league starts for them in the last two campaigns with both Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci preferred.
