# Reds to receive bids for fringe players

AFC Bournemouth are targeting Liverpool striker **Rickie Lambert** as they seek to strengthen their squad in time for the Premier League campaign, according to the *Daily Mail*.

The newly-promoted side are willing to rescue Lambert from Liverpool after the forward was used sparingly last season by Brendan Rodgers.

Signed from Southampton for £4 million, the England forward has gone on to score only three goals for his boyhood club.

After rejecting a move to Aston Villa in January, the 33-year-old may be willing to move this summer in search of regular first team football.

Another Liverpool striker potentially on his way out is Italian international **Fabio Borini**.

The ex-Chelsea player was one of Rodgers’ first signing when he took over in 2012.

After returning from a successful loan spell from Sunderland, he only made 14 appearances last season, scoring one goal.

Lazio are interested in the striker and are willing to pay up to £5 million for him.

The third Liverpool attacker that [may depart](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2015/06/15/sampdoria-want-balotelli-on-loan/) Liverpool this summer is **Mario Balotelli**.

The 24-year-old was signed for £16 million from AC Milan and went on to make 21 appearances for the Reds.

He was part of a Liverpool strike force that collective failed to find the net regularly, scoring only three goals.

Italian club Sampdoria are offering him a reprieve as they look to take the Italy international on loan, and want Liverpool to contribute to a part of his weekly wage but the Reds are unwilling.

Defender **Sebastian Coates** looks set to make a permanent move to Sunderland, with *The Express* reporting that the Uruguayan will make a £3.5m move to Wearside.

He spent the whole of last season at loan with the Black Cats and contributed heavily as they avoided the drop, under Dick Advocaat.

Meanwhile, [reports emerged last night](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2015/06/14/reds-enter-race-for-charlton-starlet/) of Liverpool’s interest in 18-year-old **Joe Gomez**.
