On-loan [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/02/callum-hudson-odoi-expected-to-be-fit-for-chelseas-meeting-with-liverpool/) winger [Harvey Elliott](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/25/liverpool-fans-eulogise-as-harvey-elliott-scores-again-on-loan/) is ‘more than ready’ for Premier League football according to Jaquob Crooke, Blackburn Rovers reporter for [Lancs Live](https://www.lancs.live/authors/jaquob-crooke/) in an interview with[Planet Football](https://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/its-been-a-season-to-forget-for-blackburn-but-harvey-elliott-has-shone/).

The 17-year-old has been [nothing short of sensational this season](https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19080105.rovers-pair-harvey-elliott-tony-mowbray-january-awards/) in the Championship and has contributed with[nine assists and five goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/leistungsdaten/spieler/565822)in the league so far.

Without those contributions from the teenager, Crooke believes Rovers would be in a[far different position](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/table). He said:

> ”It wouldn’t be unfair to suggest that Blackburn would be occupying a lower league position without his presence.”

Crooke went on to hail Elliott’s ‘exceptional’ impact and spoke of fears that the[Reds could look to recall the starlet](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-transfers-elliott-liverpool-19478334)in January amidst the injury crisis.

The reporter added: ”You only have to glance at the statistics he’s posted across the campaign to understand the impact he’s possessed and he’s more than ready for a crack at the Premier League.”

Elliott’s development this season will be music to the ears of Liverpool fans will the Reds the overall benefactors long-term.

Given his[rise to prominence this season](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harvey-elliott/955245) in senior football and the ability shown in his[fleeting Liverpool outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/565822) to date, there would be little in the way of resistance should Elliott become apart of Jurgen Klopp’s plans next term.

Not 18 until April, Elliott has been performing [beyond his years for club and country](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/nationalmannschaft/spieler/565822/verein_id/21340) for some time now and could make for a worthy understudy for Mohamed Salah next season.
