# Rhian Brewster to stay at Liverpool until January

Rhian Brewster will remain at Liverpool for the first half of the 2020/21 season, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/huge-rhian-brewster-transfer-development-at-liverpool/).

After speculation suggesting that the 20-year-old would make a loan switch to a fellow Premier League club, the report claims that a source at Anfield has informed them that Brewster will stay with the squad, at least for the first half of the season.

Klopp had been undecided on what to do with the striker for his own development as the new campaign fast approaches, but it seems that the German boss has opted to keep Brester with this Premier League winning squad as he plots a title defence.

The Reds manager will re-evaluate the England Under-21 international’s situation in January and depending on the amount of game time and his influence during that time, a decision will be made to see if he goes out on loan or completes the season at Anfield.

There will be plenty of disappointed suitors who hear this news as the likes of Aston Villa, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Newcastle United and Sheffield United had all been interested in taking the talented goalscorer on loan.

Swansea had also expressed an interest in taking Brewster back for the new season after the youngster spent the second half of last term with the Swans, scoring 11 goals in 22 appearances.

The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner has also impressed during pre-season with Liverpool, scoring three times in two matches before being the unfortunate man to miss his penalty in the Community Shield shootout.

Despite only making three senior appearances for the Reds, Brewster’s ability has been long talked about in Liverpool circles and plenty of fans will be glad to hear he is sticking around and will be excited to see more of the talented striker in action.
