# Robertson remaining positive despite Liverpool’s latest slip-up

Andy Robertson is remaining in positive spirits, despite Liverpool’s latest title setback.

The Reds now find themselves a point behind champions Manchester City with nine games remaining, following Sunday’s 0-0 draw away to Everton.

The performance was not good enough throughout, particularly in the second half, when the display actually got worse.

Many now believe that City are the overriding favourites to retain their crown, but Robertson is not feeling as defeatist.

Speaking to [Liverpoolfc.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/340396-andy-robertson-liverpool-everton-reaction), the left-back says Jurgen Klopp’s men will not give up until the final kick of the ball this season:

> Of course, we’re only a point behind City.

> There’s still only a game twist if they drop points, so we’re there to capitalise on that \[and\] that’s what we’ve got to do.

> They’ve been good at closing the gap on us and have taken over from us. They’ve been good at piling on the pressure, but now we do that to them and hopefully they feel it because we will push them the whole way.

> We’ll push right to the final whistle and kick against Wolves in the last game of the season. If we fall short, we fall short, if we don’t then great.

> But we’ll fight for everything now and we’ll push them the whole way. If they drop points then we need to be in a position to capitalise on that like they’ve done to us.

Four draws in six Premier League matches is unquestionably worrying for Liverpool, having been seven points ahead of City at one stage.

A win at home to Burnley on Sunday is imperative, although they now know that destiny is out of their hands.

They are still in with a chance of glory, however, with City facing some tricky outings between now and May.
