# Robertson set to be fit for Champions League final

Andy Robertson is expected to be fit for Liverpool’s Champions League final clash with Tottenham.

The left-back was forced off at half-time during Tuesday’s unforgettable 4-0 win over Barcelona at Anfield.

Ironically, it was his replacement Gini Wijnaldum who ended up scoring two of the Reds’ goals on the night.

There had been fears that Robertson’s leg problem would rule him out of the final on June 1st, but the [https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/andy-robertson-hands-liverpool-major-15017398](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/andy-robertson-hands-liverpool-major-15017398)*[Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/andy-robertson-hands-liverpool-major-15017398)* claim he will be fit in time.

It is believed that “there was no ligament damage or break detected” when the Scot went for a scan.

Robertson has become one of the most important players at Klopp’s disposal, having slowly matured into one of the best left-backs in world football.

He would have been a huge loss in the final, but he now looks set to play his part.

With Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino also likely to have recovered by then as well, Liverpool should almost have a clean bill of health in Madrid, barring the stricken Naby Keita.
