# Roma join race to sign Alberto Moreno

Alberto Moreno is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Liverpool this summer and the list of suitors in the Spaniard continues to grow.

The [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-rumours-alberto-moreno-13267157), who cite reports from Italian source Corriere dello Sport, claim that Roma have joined Napoli in the race to sign Moreno this summer.

It’s believed that Liverpool have already [turned down a £11m bid](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2017/06/22/liverpool-reject-offer-from-napoli-for-alberto-moreno/) from Napoli for the left-back as they are holding out for an offer closer to £15m.

Swansea are [also interested](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2017/06/24/swansea-make-13m-bid-alberto-moreno/) in the former Sevilla standout and are prepared to offer £13m for his signature, but Liverpool are sticking true to their asking price it seems.

The likes of Faouzi Ghoulam and Andrew Robertson have been mentioned as possible replacements for Moreno after the Reds suffer a blow in their pursuit of Ryan Sessegnon after the teenager signed a new deal with Fulham.

Monaco star Benjamin Mendy was also a target for Liverpool after holding talks with Jurgen Klopp but the France international has agreed a move to Manchester City.
