# Kent again hints at summer move to Rangers

Ryan Kent has again reiterated his desire to join Rangers on a permanent basis in the summer.

The youngster has excelled on loan at Ibrox this season, winning the Scottish Young Player of the Year award and earning endless plaudits.

His pace and quality from out wide have been vital to Steven Gerrard’s side’s success, with six goals coming his way in 23 Scottish Premiership appearances.

It is highly unlikely that Kent has a long-term future at Liverpool, given the quality of attacking players currently at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.

A summer move makes complete sense and Kent himself has suggested to the *[Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-rangers-celtic-15023909)* that Rangers would be the perfect place to spend the next chapter of his career:

> I came up here to win trophies and that’s a department we’ve failed in this season. So it would be nice to come back and win silverware.

> The size of the club brings out the best in me. The club is back on the right track, especially with the manager they have. He has been excellent for me.

> I want to finish the campaign strongly. I’ll have plenty of time to think about the other stuff and discuss it with my representatives in the summer.

Kent’s talent is undeniable and he is currently in safe hands under Gerrard.

Rangers are unlikely to be the only club who make a move for the 22-year-old at the end of the season, however, but it appears clear where Kent’s allegiance lies.
