# Ryan Kent agrees Coventry loan move

Liverpool’s Ryan Kent has completed a youth loan move to League One side Coventry City, [the club have confirmed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/academy/193465-kent-agrees-coventry-loan-switch).

The 18-year-old has agreed to join the Sky Blues – who currently sit in second place in League One – until January, having accepted the offer of a temporary switch.

Kent was a mainstay in Liverpool’s Under-21s side last season and caught the eye of first-team manager Brendan Rodgers, who rewarded him with a place on the Reds’ pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray has [spoken highly of the young winger](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ryan-kent-coventry-city-want-10016215) this week, lauding him for the potential impact he could have on the team:

> He’s a young boy who has got a bit of pedigree because you know when they come from a big club that they’ve had a good upbringing.

The move will give Kent his first taste of senior football, as he aims to cement a place in Coventry’s starting XI for the rest of the year and perhaps prove he has a future with Liverpool.
