# Sakho open to Liverpool return

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been the subject of much controversy for some time now and since his move to Crystal Palace, he’s been earning plenty of plaudits.

The towering Frenchman was shipped out on loan to the Eagles after it was made clear that there would be no route back into first-team contention at the club under Jurgen Klopp.

Sakho secured a move to South London on the final day of the January transfer window and has since helped Palace to keep four clean sheets since his arrival.

However, despite his clearly dysfunctional relationship with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, the powerful centre-back has insisted that he’d still be open to a return to the club, as quoted by [Telefoot](https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/telefoot/news/exclu-telefoot-09-04-mamadou-sakho-j-ai-l-objectif-coupe-monde-6813676.html), and would still be willing to show his worth at Anfield.

> I still have a contract for three more years. If I were to wear the Liverpool jersey again, I would be happy to do so. I was late for training, something that happens everywhere.

Sakho has been imperious in the short amount of time he’s been with Palace and with Liverpool’s defence still seemingly shaky, Klopp may have some thinking to do.

> I paid a fine and I do not know what else I can do. It is up to the boss. He makes the decisions and I can only accept that. And we will see what happens if my future is elsewhere.
