# Salah claims playing for Liverpool is ‘special’

Mohamed Salah has spoken of his joy to be playing for Liverpool, insisting that there is something “special” about being a part of the club.

As quoted by [CNN](https://edition.cnn.com/2018/04/12/sport/mohamad-salah-exclusive-interview-liverpool-atmosphere-spt/index.html), the Egyptian international discussed his happiness to be at Anfield as he continues to impress in what has been an excellent season for the club so far.

> There’s something very special about playing for Liverpool.

Salah netted his 39th goal of the season in all competitions on Tuesday night as Liverpool booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals with a win over Manchester City.

> The Champions League nights are special for the fans too. You can feel it on the streets. The atmosphere in that first game against Man City was the first time I had really seen something like that.

> When we saw the draw, everyone knew it would be a difficult game. I knew it would be difficult but I said we had to be positive and win. That’s what we did.

The £34 million summer signing has been a great success with the Reds and is well-placed in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Salah will be desperate to continue to fire for Liverpool as they bid to end the season on a high, finishing strongly in the Premier League and going all the way in the Champions League.

The draw for the semi-finals of the illustrious competition will be revealed on Friday.
