# Salah has Egyptian school named after him

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is enjoying an incredible start to the 2017/18 season.

The tricky wide man has been superb for the Reds since his big money move from Roma in the summer, and has been a bright spark throughout.

Salah is held in incredibly high regard in his native Egypt, and cemented his status as a national hero on Sunday after sending his country through to the 2018 World Cup.

The winger netted a 95th minute penalty to see off Congo, which meant that his side guaranteed their place in Russia ahead of the World Cup, which follows the end of the current campaign.

Egypt’s qualification has meant a lot to the country as a whole, and measures have been taken already to honour Salah for his heroics on Sunday evening.

Al-Mustaqbal journalist Mootaz Chehade has revealed that the school which Salah attended during his younger days has been renamed as a tribute to him.

Salah will now focus on helping Liverpool to a positive season before jetting off to the World Cup with his country.
