# Salah finishes third in Presidential elections after millions of votes

Mohamed Salah is enjoying quite the season at Anfield after joining from Roma during the summer.

Fresh off the back of scoring his 29th league goal of the season against Crystal Palace, it has been revealed that Salah recently finished with the third highest unofficial votes in the Egyptian Presidential elections.

[TalkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/liverpool-news-egyptian-voters-spoil-ballot-vote-mohamed-salah-president-180331277495) claims that voters ‘spoiled’ their votes by demanding the forward is named the President of Egypt.

The report claims that more than one million people voted for the former Roma and Chelsea winger.

The real vote was not much of a contest, current President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi kept his place, earning 92% of the votes.

Many doubted Liverpool’s decision to sign Egyptian last summer, but he has played a key role in the Reds’ bid to finish second this season.

The 25-year-old has scored 36 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season, forming part of a free-scoring front three at Anfield.
