# Salah jokes with van Dijk about becoming a one-season wonder

Mohamed Salah has jokingly warned Virgil van Dijk not to become a ‘one-season wonder’.

It’s a tag that has wrongly followed Salah this season after not quite reaching the same numbers that he did during his maiden campaign at Anfield.

Despite the fact the Liverpool forward has enjoyed another stellar season, he has often be called a ‘one-season wonder’ in a situation similar to what Harry Kane found himself in after his emergence at Tottenham.

Speaking on his Instagram, Salah congratulated the Dutchman for winning the PFA Player of the Year award, the same trophy that the Egyptian took home last season.

Van Dijk saw off competition from Raheem Sterling to win the award, with the City winger being named as the PFA Young Player of the Year.

The Dutchman has been in imperious form this season which has been widely recognised with the Reds pushing City all the way in the Premier League title race.
