# Salomon Rondon set to be available for just £16.5m

West Brom striker Salomon Rondon, a reported target for Liverpool, is set to be available for just £16.5m this summer.

[According to The Telegraph,](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/09/salomon-rondon-can-leave-west-brom-just-165m-thanks-relegation/) Rondon has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if a club pays £16.5m if West Brom are relegated to the Championship, which is likely to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The report also claims that West Ham are interested in signing the Venezuelan, although it does not mention whether or not they would be willing to match his release clause.

West Brom previously rejected a massive bid from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian last season, who offered £30m in January 2017.

Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a back-up centre forward to bridge the gap between Dominic Solanke and Roberto Firmino and Rondon, who has scored six goals and assisted three more in the Premier League this season, could be an ideal option at a relatively cheap price.
