# Sancho tipped to join Liverpool this summer by Sky Sports journalist

Liverpool are the front-runners in the race to sign Jadon Sancho this summer, according to *Sky Sports* reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

There is great interest in the 19-year-old, who is set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

Liverpool have been strongly [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/28/liverpools-interest-in-jadon-sancho-confirmed/) with Sancho, but Premier League rivals [Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/13/liverpool-inform-dortmund-of-their-intention-to-sign-sancho/) also believed to be interested, as well as [Barcelona](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/13/liverpool-inform-dortmund-of-their-intention-to-sign-sancho/).

Writing for *[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11937417/liverpool-could-just-be-jadon-sanchos-next-club-kaveh-solhekol-the-insider)*, however, Solhekol outlined why he thinks the Reds are front-runners to sign the [£108 million-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/profil/spieler/401173) forward this summer:

> It is difficult to say where Jadon Sancho will be playing next season because so many clubs want him but if I was a betting man, my money would be on Liverpool.

> Sancho is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top summer targets and he would find it hard to turn down a move to Anfield if Liverpool end up winning the Champions League as well as the Premier League this season.

> Manchester United are confident they can get Sancho in the summer, but they need to qualify for the Champions League first and they don’t have the Klopp factor.

> If he was to move to Liverpool, Sancho would be joining a club who are likely to dominate English football for the foreseeable future.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

There is no denying Sancho’s enormous potential, not to mention his current brilliance, so he would be a fantastic signing by Liverpool.

Despite his tender years, the England international has outlined his quality in the final third this season, [registering 13 goals and assists apiece](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/346300/Show/Jadon-Sancho) in just 19 Bundesliga starts.

Sancho would face stiff competition from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, but he is at an age where I think he could accept playing second fiddle to begin with.

That’s not to say he wouldn’t still be a key man, but it could take time for him to adjust to Jurgen Klopp’s playing style, as well as getting used to his pressurised new surroundings.
