# Sky Sports provide massive £80m Liverpool transfer update

**Liverpool have signed four players this summer, while a handful of others have left.**

Andoni Iraola and co were expected to splash the cash during the summer transfer window, but somehow, they haven’t really signed as many players as expected.

After Bradley Barcola’s signing was confirmed, the Reds were expected to sign another player, as Cody Gakpo was linked with a move to Manchester City.

Yankuba Minteh was their primary target and Liverpool even had two bids rejected for him, who is valued at around £80m by the Seagulls.

## Liverpool target Yankuba Minteh to stay at Brighton

The Reds tabled offers worth £50 and £60m, but they were both knocked back quickly by Brighton, who stood firm on their valuation.

Liverpool then dropped their interest and moved on to Ismaila Sarr, but Crystal Palace also played hardball as they refused to part with the Senegalese international.

After that, there were reports that the Reds could rekindle their interest in Minteh before the transfer deadline, especially with Brighton agreeing a deal to sign Femi Azeez from Millwall.

However, Sky Sports have confirmed that Liverpool will not sign the 22-year-old this summer.

It is looking increasingly likely that Barcola was Liverpool’s final arrival of the summer transfer window.
