# Some Liverpool fans question Jurgen Klopp’s ‘most consistent player’ claim

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/03/klopp-fails-to-rule-key-liverpool-trio-out-of-reds-clash-with-chelsea/) manager Jurgen Klopp has labelled midfielder[Gini Wijnaldum](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/02/inter-milan-boss-antonio-conte-crazy-about-signing-gini-wijnaldum/) as the ‘most consistent player’ this season, during his [pre-match press conference](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/427262-watch-klopp-press-conference-liverpool-chelsea) ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Anfield on Thursday.

The Dutchman, [alongside Andy Robertson](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrew-robertson/leistungsdaten/spieler/234803), has certainly been one of the few players to avoid injury absence this term and as such, the 30-year-old has appeared in all [26 Premier League matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/leistungsdaten/spieler/49499).

That [availability](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) has proven pivotal for Klopp as the squad has been[decimated by injury](https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-injury-news-latest-list-alisson-thiago-alexander-arnold-robertson-henderson-780156)time and time again.

Based on performance alone Wijnaldum has also stood up to the test, earning an average[6.80 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/georginio-wijnaldum/22126) in the league.

Often someone to [divide opinion](https://anfieldindex.com/46137/gini-wijnaldum-a-fantastic-servant-time-to-make-way.html)amongst the fanbase, unsurprisingly Kopites have reacted to Klopp’s claim and we’ve collated the best for you…
