# Stoke will listen to Begovic offers

Stoke City are willing to listen to offers for Liverpool target Asmir Begović, according to *The Mirror*.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper will be a free agent in 2016, and with Jack Butland coming into form, the Potters could move the Bosnia and Herzegovina international on this summer to avoid a Bosman transfer next year.

Englishman Butland believes the Stoke No 1 spot is within his sights whether Begović remains at the Britannia Stadium or not:

*“His \[Begovic\] future is out of my hands. I want the best for him, but I’m playing for my future,”* said the former Birmingham City stopper.

Begović, who is likely to start against Liverpool in the final fixture of the Premier League season on Sunday, has had a contract offered to him in recent months, but no deal has been agreed.

As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and Inter Milan have been linked with the £8million-rated stopper.

Brad Jones announced on Saturday night that he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the season, so the search for another goalkeeper is underway on Merseyside.

Simon Mignolet’s improved form throughout the second half of the season may tempt Brendan Rodgers to persist with the Belgian as first choice, but the prospect of signing an established Premier League ‘keeper such as Begović may be too difficult to turn down.

The former Portsmouth man has made 171 appearances for the Potters since arriving in 2010, and scored a rare goal for them against Southampton last season.
