# Sturridge could become Fowler’s first signing at Brisbane Roar

Daniel Sturridge is a target for a number of Australian A-League clubs, according to Murray Shaw, Fox Sports’ Executive Producer of Football.

The Liverpool striker looks almost certain to leave the club when the season reaches its conclusion.

He has fallen completely out of favour under Jurgen Klopp, not starting a game since the FA Cup defeat at Wolves in January.

Injuries have hampered Sturridge hugely as the years have passed, robbing him of the dynamism that made him so special during the 2013/14 season, in particular.

> One player I will throw up, and I know that this player has been offered to several A-League clubs already for next season, is Daniel Sturridge.

> I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the phone call is made from Robbie Fowler to bring someone like Daniel Sturridge down as a marquee player for next season.

Given Fowler’s Liverpool connection, it is easy to envisage him making Sturridge his first big signing.

The legendary former Reds striker became Brisbane’s new boss earlier this week, taking his first step into full-time management.
