# Sturridge suffers another injury setback

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has suffered yet another crushing injury blow, with the forward likely to miss another month’s worth of action at West Brom, as reported by the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-broms-crisis-season-takes-12099112) this evening.

The England international is currently out on loan with the Baggies, who are firmly rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.

Sturridge is yet to hit the net for West Brom and has been restricted once again through injuries. Sturridge was recently forced off in West Brom’s defeat at the hands of Chelsea just after the three-minute mark.

He suffered a blow to his hamstring and it seems the knock is more serious than what was initially thought by the Baggies’ medical team.

Jurgen Klopp took the decision to loan Sturridge out for the second half of the season as the forward aimed to revitalise himself away from Anfield.

After a series of injury woes, the ex-Chelsea man would have hoped for greater fortunes in a fresh spell on loan, but this has not been the case.

Sturridge is unlikely to be selected by Gareth Southgate for England’s World Cup squad this summer, predominantly as a result of the forward’s lack of game time at the Hawthorns.
