# Suso’s release clause has Milan worried

Suso’s release clause is a cause for concern at Milan, following interest from Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

[According to reports in Italy,](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/suso-release-clause-a-problem-amid-liverpool-tottenham-links-56718) the club are worried that they could lose the player for lower than his market value, with the current release clause in his deal at the San Siro set at €40 million.

The Spaniard attracted interest from Chelsea, Spurs and his former side Liverpool over the summer when it looked like he could be on the move.

There was a short period of time over the summer where it appeared the Italians could be forced into a sale due to financial fair play reasons but following a takeover at the club that is no longer the case.

Milan remain keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal, but securing Champions League football may play a key role in convincing him to stay at the club.
