# Thiago and Mane available for Liverpool’s clash with Everton

Thiago and Sadio Mane are both available for Liverpool ahead of this weekend’s Merseyside derby, according to the *Mirror*‘s David Maddock on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/MaddockMirror/status/1315706298000842752?s=20).

The Reds head to Goodison Park to face Everton in a huge game on Saturday afternoon, with their rivals currently enjoying a 100 percent start to the season.

[Thiago](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/410566-thiago-alcantara-tests-positive-for-covid-19) and [Mane](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/411091-sadio-mane-tests-positive-for-covid-19) have both tested positive for COVID-19 in the last few weeks, but the pair have now finished self-isolating and can play this weekend, returning to training on Monday.

Naby Keita is still in isolation as he awaits the results of a second test, however, after [testing positive](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/10/11/keita-the-latest-liverpool-player-to-test-positive-for-covid-19/) over the weekend.

This is a huge boost for Liverpool, ahead of their most important game of the campaign so far.

With Keita potentially absent, and Fabinho possibly moving to centre-back in place of the struggling Joe Gomez, there could be areas to fill in the Reds’ midfield.

Thiago’s poise on the ball and vast experience add so much to the team, as he showed on his debut against Chelsea last month, so the hope is that he starts at Goodison.

It may be the Spaniard’s first-ever start if that does happen, but his past knowledge of El Clasico games means he is unlikely to be daunted by the occasion.

Meanwhile, the return of Mane is undoubtedly huge, with the Senegalese absent from the 7-2 humiliation at the hands of Aston Villa.

Liverpool’s No.10 already has [three goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9) in as many Premier League games this season and his battle with Seamus Coleman promises to be fascinating.
