# Three clubs want to sign Liverpool defender

It looks all-but-certain that Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel will be leaving Anfield this summer and the Slovakian’s agent has revealed that three clubs are interested in signing him.

Mithat Halis from Stars&Friends, the management company that represents the Liverpool defender told Turkish radio station [Radyospor](https://www.turkish-football.com/fenerbahce-want-liverpool-defender-skrtel-confirms-agent/) that three clubs want to sign his client, but Besiktas and Galatasaray, two sides linked with a move for Skrtel, have not made an effort to sign him.

He said:

> There are three clubs that want Martin, Fenerbahce have been interested for four years but there are also offers from China and Wolfsburg also want him. Besiktas are not interested and Galatasaray cannot currently afford him.

Skrtel has had ups and downs at Anfield but after a difficult couple of seasons, it looks like he’ll be sold. The arrival of Joel Matip will reduce Skrtel’s chances of playing even further and in truth, it looked like Jurgen Klopp wasn’t keen to give him much game time anyway.

Skrtel is currently in France on international duty with Slovakia so it’s unlikely that any deals will be completed until his side exit the tournament.
