# Tottenham reportedly make bid for Liverpool target

Tottenham have made an offer worth £75m for [Liverpool target](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/04/29/liverpool-in-the-race-to-sign-victor-osimhen/) Victor Osimhen, according to [Abdellah Boulma](https://twitter.com/abdellahboulma/status/1260179077027241985), the editor of [Les Cahiers du Football](https://www.cahiersdufootball.net/) (cited by [Football365](https://www.football365.com/news/spurs-lille-victor-osimhen-75m-transfer-bid-liverpool)).

It was reported last week that an unnamed club had made the mega offer to Lille for the 21-year-old and Boulma claims that it was in fact Spurs who submitted the bid.

Osimhen has also been linked with moves to Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United in the last few few weeks but the Reds were [thought](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/04/29/liverpool-in-the-race-to-sign-victor-osimhen/) to be the favourites to sign the 21-year-old.

However, it looks, if this information is correct, that Spurs are very keen on the forward.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Daniel Levy is hardly known to be the most free spending of chairman so for his club to make such a huge offer for a player is a big surprise, especially in the current market.

Osimhen is a very good prospect but if the fee to get him is indeed in the £75m range, then it’s very, very unlikely that he’ll be a Liverpool player, given that he’d equal the Reds’ record transfer and he wouldn’t even be a first choice player in Jurgen Klopp’s best XI, given how good the current Liverpool front three are.
