# Tottenham won’t be selling Ndombele

Tottenham Hotspur have no intentions of selling their record signing Tanguy Ndombele this summer, despite the reports linking the Frenchman with a move to Liverpool this summer.

Earlier this week, [reports in France](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/05/11/liverpool-linked-with-move-for-tanguy-ndombele/) claimed that Liverpool were lining up a loan move for the 23-year-old and that the Reds wanted to include an option to buy him in the summer of 2022.

However, as reported by [The Independent](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/tottenham-hotspur-news-tanguy-ndombele-transfer-a9510061.html), Spurs do not want to let Ndombele leave, despite his patchy start to life in England.

In truth, it’s not surprising to see Sours sticking by the Frenchman. He’s yet to complete a season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite his injury issues and his up and down form.

Spurs made a huge investment in the midfielder and they’ll be keen to get maximum value from him if they do ever let him leave, and given the state of the world at the moment, this isn’t the time to be selling players if you want to get a high price.

Liverpool could well be in the market for a midfielder this summer but it looks like they’ll need to focus their attention away from Ndombele and towards other targets.
