# Toure to Sign One Year Deal

Liverpool centre back Kolo Toure looks set to sign an one-year extension with the club, according to a report by Neil Jones in the Liverpool Echo. It was initially reported that the former Arsenal and Man City player would entertain offers from elsewhere this summer but Toure has now stated that he is happy to stay at Liverpool.

Toure said: “*I think the situation will be resolved soon. We are talking. Liverpool is a great club for me to stay at. Liverpool is going to be massive. I love Premier League football and I played all my years here. And if I can finish here it would be great. My kids go to school here and they are half-English, and that is important as well. I play for Liverpool right now, and I am very happy. If it was to carry on, I’d be more than happy.”*

The Ivory Coast international is mainly used as a substitute by Brendan Rodgers and has made 21 appearances this season.
