# ‘Unlucky’ – Andoni Iraola drops Liverpool starting XI hint ahead of Chelsea clash

**Liverpool are set to take on Chelsea at Anfield later today as they aim to continue their winning run across all competitions.**

The Reds have won their last four games under Andoni Iraola and appear to be slowly clicking into gear after a slow-ish start to the new campaign.

They have moved to fourth in the Premier League standings and have won each of their three UEFA Champions League games so far.

However, with games coming thick and fast, it remains to be seen how they manage their squad.

And now, Iraola admits he could be forced to rotate his squad for the Carabao Cup.

## Liverpool could make a few changes to their squad

“There will definitely be changes, but we want to win the game,” said Iraola in his pre-match press conference.

“We want to be competitive. We have to see how the legs are. We’ve been trying to make changes from game to game. We want to be in the next round.

“We have been unlucky in the draw, playing Chelsea, and they’ve been unlucky also. But we want to earn the right to be in the draw again and that can only happen if you win.”

Judging by the boss’ comments, the Reds are expected to name a relatively strong starting XI for the game with a few changes.

The likes of Trey Nyoni, Lewis Koumas and Rio Ngumoha are expected to start, while Federico Chiesa could also get a few minutes.
