**Liverpool produced a fantastic performance against Atletico Madrid as they secured a 2-1 UEFA Champions League win at Anfield yesterday.**

Marcos Llorente broke the deadlock in the first half, but the Reds struck back through Dom Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister to record a fine victory.

There were a handful of standout performers, particularly in the second half, and Ronald Araujo was one of them.

And Andoni Iraola singled him out for special praise in his post-match press conference.

“I think he’s been very good,” said Iraola in his post-match press conference when asked about Araujo.

“The other day and I think even better today. He’s defending really well his side. Sometimes we underrate his offensive side.

“Today he gave a great assist, very happy with him. He’s come with the willingness to show he belongs at this level.

“I hope we can keep him there because he’s in a good place.”

Liverpool fans already want Araujo signed permanently, which goes to show just how much he has impressed the Anfield faithful.
