# Virals: Barcelona starlet Gavi ‘seduced’ by Liverpool opportunity

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/15/virals-journalist-claims-jahkeele-marshall-rutty-will-train-at-liverpool/) have been heavily linked with a sensational move for Barcelona wonderkid [Gavi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/10/virals-liverpool-ready-to-activate-release-clause-for-wonderkid-gavi/) in recent weeks and could’ve been handed a boost in their pursuit.

The Reds are believed to be keen on bringing the 17-year-old to Anfield following a [superb breakout year](https://www.sofascore.com/player/gavi/1103693) for both club and country.

Gavi – a product of the famous [La Masia academy](https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/facilities/la-masia) following an early switch from Real Betis – has become a regular feature in Xavi’s side this season.

According to the latest report from Catalan outlet [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-posa-molt-nervios-el-barca-amb-un-intocable-que-esta-escoltant-l-oferta-del-liverpool_682271_102.html), as cited by [https://twitter.com/gilabolacom](https://twitter.com/gilabolacom)[GilaBola.com](https://twitter.com/gilabolacom) on Twitter, the Spaniard is considering making the switch.

Translated, the Twitter account claims that this is ‘Goodbye, Barcelona’ as the [four-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gavi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/646740/verein_id/3375) teen ‘intends’ to move to Merseyside.

The report follows a similar path and claims that Gavi is ‘seduced’ by the prospect and playing under Jurgen Klopp in the [Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) is a ‘very attractive’ option.

So far this season, the starlet once described as [‘terrific’](https://tech2sports.com/2021/10/07/gavi-receives-praise-after-a-heroic-performance-in-spains-win-over-italy-to-reach-the-nations-league-final/) player by Luis Enrique, has provided two assists in 21 appearances for Barca.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £22.5million and under contract at the Camp Nou until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gavi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/646740)), the prospect of signing the midfielder is relatively high right now.

Holding a [reported](https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2021/12/12/61b60272268e3ecf588b45d1.html) €50million (£42.4million) release clause, Liverpool shouldn’t be put off by the financial aspect of the deal.

Albeit a relatively large sum for a player so young, Gavi has the potential to be at the [very top of the game](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gavi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/646740) for over a decade.
