# Virals: Christian Falk confirms ‘minimum €90million’ Kingsley Coman fee

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/30/charlie-nicholas-urges-swoop-for-liverpool-goalkeeper-caoimhin-kelleher/) have discovered a minimum €90million demand to prise [Kingsley Coman](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/29/virals-liverpool-hit-with-huge-asking-price-for-kingsley-coman/) away from Bayern Munich this summer.

This comes after the Reds were [linked](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-news-kingsley-coman-24408222) with a sensational move for the French winger, with some reports claiming a bid had already been made.

However, the [mooted valuations](https://www.football365.com/news/liverpool-short-bayern-valuation-opening-coman-transfer-bid) were some way short of the €90million (£77.2million) figure that has since been brought to the table.

This comes from the Head of Football at German outlet BILD, [Christian Falk](https://twitter.com/cfbayern/status/1410164606841073665), on Twitter.

Coman was part of the France side that were [eliminated from Euro 2020](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51198549) this week at the hands of Switzerland.

Capped [32 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/nationalmannschaft/spieler/243714/verein_id/3377) at senior level, the flying winger [scored eight goals and registered another 15 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdaten/spieler/243714) in 39 appearances last term.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £58.8million and under contract until 2023 at the Allianz Arena ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/marktwertverlauf/spieler/243714)), the new mooted fee would be a far more realistic expectation from Bayern’s perspective.

From a Liverpool point of view, shelling out £77.2million for a [backup winger](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) behind Sadio Mane seems hugely unlikely.

Coman’s checkered [injury record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/verletzungen/spieler/243714) made only a bargain deal a worthwhile one.
