# Virals: Harry Wilson ‘set to be announced’ as £10million switch nears

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/23/virals-liverpool-make-huge-offer-for-ac-milan-star-franck-kessie/) winger [Harry Wilson](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/20/virals-neil-jones-expecting-harry-wilson-to-leave-liverpool-next/) is reportedly ‘set to be announced’ as a Fulham player in the coming days.

As the Reds attempt to sell fringe players in order to raise funds for [Jurgen Klopp’s top targets](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-rumours-bowen-saul-24586603), another of the squad’s nearly men could be the next to make a permanent departure.

The Wales international had been [attracting interest](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/benfica-approach-liverpool-about-wilson-with-west-brom-brentford-/1wg1ukzjjvxa1b61fv943dpx1) from Benfica and Brentford as well as numerous other domestic suitors, however, it appears to be the recently relegated Cottagers who have won over.

That’s according to Portuguese journalist [Bruno Andrade](https://twitter.com/brunoandrd/status/1418595197932482561), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1418602724736716805) on Twitter.

Andrade claims that new manager Marco Silva will make the 24-year-old his first signing since [replacing Scott Parker](https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2021/july/Fulham-Appoint-Marco-Silva/) at Craven Cottage.

Capped on [29 occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/279455/verein_id/3864) by Wales, Wilson has often impressed whilst out on loan in various spells.

Last season the left-footed ace enjoyed a fruitful campaign in the Championship with Cardiff City, [scoring seven and adding another 12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/279455) in 37 league outings.

Since coming through the academy on Merseyside, the Welshman has made just [two first-team appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/279455/verein/31) at Anfield.

Another healthy boost to the coffers on the back of making [£17million combined](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/07/20/liverpool-bank-17m-sale-marko-grujic-taiwo-awoniyi/#:~:text=Liverpool%20bank%20%C2%A317m%20from%20sale%20of%20Marko%20Grujic%20and%20Taiwo%20Awoniyi,-Serbia%20midfielder%20Grujic&text=Awoniyi%2C%2023%2C%20was%20signed%20in,of%20%C2%A36m%20on%20him.) from the sales of Taiwo Awoniyi and Marko Grujic.

Add to that the £10million from Wilson’s impending departure and the [Liam Millar and Kamil Grababa funds](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liverpool-fc-u23/rekordabgaenge/verein/9252/saison_id/2021), Liverpool have exceeded the £30million mark in incoming funds.

Kopites and Klopp alike will hope those funds mean [new signings are imminent](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-can-raise-80m-selling-20697081) as the new season draws ever closer.

An additional midfielder to replace Gini Wijnaldum and another attacking option [remains the priority](https://www.anfieldwatch.co.uk/exclusive-what-i-know-fabrizio-romano-on-reds-reported-interest-in-renato-sanches/) in order to challenge once again.
