# Virals: Harvey Elliott makes positive step in injury recovery

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/15/virals-liverpool-interested-in-signing-wolves-loan-ace-hwang-hee-chan/) could be fast approaching a timely squad boost as [Harvey Elliott](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/06/virals-jurgen-klopp-says-harvey-elliott-looks-really-good-on-rehab-journey/) continues on the road to recovery.

The 18-year-old has been a huge miss for the Reds ever since [dislocating his ankle](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/20876/12406589/harvey-elliott-liverpool-winger-suffers-serious-injury-against-leeds) in the victory over Leeds United in September.

Elliott had made a bright start to the season having returned to Merseyside following an [outstanding season-long loan spell](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harvey-elliott/955245) at Blackburn Rovers.

Now it would appear that the teenager is nearing a return to fitness as he [takes to the grass](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1460231610280779778) for the first time in two months.

The corresponding report from the [club’s official website](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/harvey-elliotts-injury-rehab-continues-outdoor-running) confirmed that Elliott completed exercises outside at the AXA Training Centre on the next step in his rehabilitation process.

Prior to the cruel setback, the starlet who was described as a [‘special player’](https://twitter.com/Ebenno88/status/1353378988325003267?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1353378988325003267%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-586537401990299477.ampproject.net%2F2110290545003%2Fframe.html) by Elliott Bennett on Twitter, had made [four Premier League appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/leistungsdaten/spieler/565822) for the Reds this season.

This is a hugely welcome sight to Kopites everywhere.

Injuries have once again [caused issues](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sadio-mane-jordan-henderson-injury-22164033) at Anfield this term and welcoming back Elliott ahead of schedule would be a boost to the ranks.

Albeit it’s unlikely the [£13.5million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/marktwertverlauf/spieler/565822) teenager will be seen back in competitive action for a number of weeks yet, this is undoubted a step in the right direction.
