# Virals: Hertha Berlin submit offer for Marko Grujic

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/13/pundit-tips-reds-target-donyell-malen-to-become-sensation-at-euro-2020/) manager Jurgen Klopp looks set to oversee a squad overhaul this summer at Anfield – with both outgoings and incomings on the cards.

Having completed the [signing of Ibrahima Konate](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/435628-liverpool-agree-deal-to-sign-ibrahima-konate-from-rb-leipzig) from RB Leipzig already, the Reds will be in the market for a midfielder and at least one additional forward option.

Those arrivals may have to wait however until some of the stars on the fringes of the [squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) can be moved on permanently.

According to a report from [A Bola](https://twitter.com/abolapt), as cited by [Watch LFC](https://twitter.com/Watch_LFC/status/1404132000727023619) on Twitter, midfielder [Marko Grujic](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/07/virals-liverpool-ready-to-cash-in-on-marko-grujic-this-summer/) could set the departures in motion after a bid from Hertha Berlin arrived.

The €13million (£11million) offer would represent a profit of around £5million on the Serbian signed from Red Star Belgrade back in 2016 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/transfers/spieler/222813)).

Since becoming a Red when arriving as Klopp’s first signing, the 25-year-old has made just [16 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/222813) for the club – spending time away on various loan moves.

During a season-loan spell with FC Porto in 2020/21, Grujic scored [three times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/leistungsdaten/spieler/222813) in 41 outings in Portugal.

Selling squad players is a must this summer if Klopp is going to be [allowed the funds](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-sell-11-players-millions-20264292) to suitably improve the first-team options.

Despite holding ability, the [likes of](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfers-matip-minamino-karius-20371024) Grujic, Harry Wilson, Divock Origi, Loris Karius and Taiwo Awoniyi are must sales.

In the past Liverpool transfer chief Michael Edwards has been [credited](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/michael-edwards-real-story-behind-17994543) with landing the best possible fee from each and every deal – a skill that will be tested if the club are going to thrive in this window.
