# Virals: Jamie Carragher overjoyed as Jordan Henderson fires home

Former [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/16/jurgen-klopp-admits-liverpool-lost-the-plot-before-half-time/) defender Jamie Carragher was overjoyed as current captain [Jordan Henderson](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/20/jurgen-klopp-confirms-midfield-duo-are-much-closer-to-selection/) fired home the winner at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Reds had to recover from a two-minute double salvo from AC Milan before halftime to earn a hard-fought [3-2 victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58561430) in the UEFA Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were [breathtaking](https://www.bt.com/sport/watch/video/clips/2021/september/highlights-liverpool-3-2-ac-milan) for the most part before the Italian visitors hit their hosts before the break.

Working on the clash for [CBS Sports Golazo](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1438252853387214857?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1438252853387214857%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.empireofthekop.com%2F2021%2F09%2F15%2Fvideo-buzzing-carragher-cant-contain-himself-in-hilarious-reaction-to-hendersons-match-winning-goal%2F), Carragher couldn’t hide his emotions when Henderson’s half volley flew into the back of the net.

The ex-Red wasn’t the only one overjoyed as Liverpool made a winning start to their European campaign.

Klopp himself saw fit to [celebrate the success](https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1438245903412994056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1438245903412994056%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.empireofthekop.com%2F2021%2F09%2F15%2Fvideo-jurgen-klopp-salutes-delirious-anfield-after-liverpool-secure-remarkable-opening-champions-league-win-v-ac-milan%2F) with the adoring and ever passionate Kop support.
