# Virals: Jordan Henderson posts five-word reaction to ‘big win’

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/13/virals-liverpool-against-manchester-united-thrown-into-doubt-once-again/) boosted their top-four chances with a [4-2 win](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12305552/manchester-united-2-4-liverpool-player-ratings-as-trent-alexander-arnold-and-roberto-firmino-shine) against arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Goals from [Diogo Jota](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/12/carragher-neville-jota-sots/), Mohamed Salah and a brace from Roberto Firmino helped the [Reds come back](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Exob0iDI4w) from a Bruno Fernandes opener.

United forward Marcus Rashford [grabbed one back](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/may/13/manchester-united-liverpool-premier-league-protests-old-trafford) for the hosts but Jurgen Klopp’s side left with an all-important three points.

Still without Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, Klopp was [also without](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/man-united-vs-liverpool-fc-live-stream-latest-score-premier-league-2021-result-watch-tv-team-news-b935010.html) Naby Keita, James Milner, Ozan Kabak, Ben Davies and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the clash.

Perhaps the [biggest miss](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/jordan-henderson-liverpool-fc-footballer-year-latest-news-a9641456.html) remains captain and inspirational central midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Absent with a groin injury, the 30-year-old took to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JHenderson/status/1392955158443737095?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1392955158443737095%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-779888613051335530.ampproject.net%2F2104302228000%2Fframe.html) after the final whistle to praise the performance and result.

Liverpool now have their destiny more or less in [their own hands](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) as three wins in the final three Premier League fixtures will guarantee a top-four finish.

However, Klopp [confirmed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/433867-jordan-henderson-injury-update) this week that the Reds will be without Henderson for the matches [against](https://www.skysports.com/liverpool-fixtures) West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Given the magnitude of the match and what was at stake, a 4-2 win at Old Trafford was perhaps the [performance of the season](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2020-21/first-team/fixtures-and-results) from the Reds.

In a brutal [injury struck season](https://theathletic.co.uk/1602276/2020/02/13/lucky-liverpool-facts-prove-nonsense/) a top-four finish would realistically be a superb achievement from Klopp’s men.

Many Kopites will still be counting down the days until 2021/22 begins and the likes of Van Dijk, Gomez and Henderson himself are [back in contention](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/433769-virgil-van-dijk-exclusive-interview-injury-pre-season-comeback).
