# Virals: Journalist says Jude Bellingham would ‘definitely fit’ Liverpool project

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/01/virals-liverpool-ask-for-30million-transfer-fee-to-sell-joe-gomez/) have been heavily linked with a sensational move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder [Jude Bellingham](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/26/opinion-jude-bellingham-should-be-the-next-transformational-signing-at-liverpool/) for some time.

The 18-year-old wonderkid has long since been outed as the possible next big signing for the Reds as Jurgen Klopp [looks to build a team for the future](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/jurgen-klopp-building-liverpool-team-for-now-and-tomorrow-1643974838000) whilst competing in the present.

Already a [key player](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jude-bellingham/991011) for both club and country, Bellingham certainly has the ability to play a leading role at the elite level for many years to come.

Reputable journalist Dominic King has suggested in an article for the [Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10561779/New-blood-making-Jurgen-Klopps-Reds-looks-rosy-incredible-array-young-talent.html), as cited by [Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1498426983168065541) on Twitter, that the English teenager could be the ideal fit for Klopp’s squad.

King states that the [10-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/nationalmannschaft/spieler/581678/verein_id/3299) England starlet would ‘definitely fit Liverpool’s project’ before citing a possible £100million asking price.

This season the ex-Birmingham ace – described as [‘amazing’](https://bvbbuzz.com/2021/09/16/erling-haaland-marco-rose-praise-jude-bellingham/) by Erling Haaland – has [scored six times and registered 12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/leistungsdaten/spieler/581678) in 34 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Signing the [£67.5million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/marktwertverlauf/spieler/581678) Bellingham for the mooted £100million fee would still represent impressive value for money.

Albeit a huge initial outlay – topping anything the club has [previously reached](https://www.google.com/search?q=liverpool+record+transfers&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB885GB885&oq=liverpool+record+transfers&aqs=chrome.0.35i39j0i512l2j0i22i30l2j69i60l2j69i61.4584j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8) – at just 18 the best is certainly yet to come from a player already performing on the biggest stages.

As Klopp begins to further manage the game time of Thiago, Jordan Henderson and James Milner, Liverpool will [need a fresh face](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) to bolster the midfield options.

Add the mercurial talent of Bellingham to the likes of Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, [Tyler Morton](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/southport-san-siro-tyler-morton-liverpool-rise-klopp-excited/blt0744dc7e3d2e02d2) and then the Reds’ engine room is in good stead for the best part of a decade at least.
