[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/24/virals-naby-keita-to-snub-liverpool-contract-offer/) manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed midfielder [Thiago](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/13/jamie-redknapp-blasts-absolute-garbage-thiago-opinions/) will be out until after the upcoming international break.

The 30-year-old [limped off in the second half](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/443899-thiago-alcantara-injury-update) of last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Speaking in the [pre-match press conference](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/444354-watch-jurgen-klopp-brentford-press-conference) ahead of the trip to face Brentford, Klopp, as cited by [Paul Gorst](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/1441338553615601664) on Twitter, suggested that Thiago would be out until around October 16.

This is another blow for the cultured midfielder, as he looks to establish himself at Anfield following an [injury-hit](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thiago/verletzungen/spieler/60444) debut campaign.

Boasting an [outstanding career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thiago/erfolge/spieler/60444) track record, the Spanish ace has plenty to offer on Merseyside and Kopites everywhere will hope for a swift return from this latest setback.

In the absence of Thiago and Harvey Elliott, Klopp will no doubt turn to [Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) to fill the void.
