# Virals: Jurgen Klopp shares moment with Ben Davies ahead of debut

The Reds got their fixture schedule underway on Tuesday [against FC Wacker Innsbruck and VfB Stuttgart](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/438434-match-report-pre-season-wacker-innsbruck-stuttgart) with two 30-minutes clashes.

Davies [partnered Joel Matip](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fans-ben-davies-starts-21100518) in central defence for the meeting with Austrian second-tier side Wacker Innsbruck.

The magnitude of finally [making a debut](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-davies/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/257097) for the club clearly wasn’t lost on Klopp or Davies and the boss made sure the 25-year-old went out totally relaxed over the prospect.

Whether it’s the start of a successful career at Anfield remains to be seen as [doubts](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-ben-davies-sheffield-utd-24566580) hang over the ace’s future.
