Real Madrid have reportedly ‘set sights’ on [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/22/pundit-claims-epl-star-bukayo-saka-is-the-perfect-liverpool-player/) forward [Sadio Mane](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/16/opinion-jurgen-klopp-should-unleash-new-look-best-xi-in-the-san-siro/) ahead of a possible summer swoop.

According to a report from [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/nuevo-sueno-florentino-perez-delantera-real-madrid-20220220.html), as cited by [SBOTOP](https://twitter.com/sbotopofcl) on Twitter, Real Madrid are keen on the winger.

The report claims that club president at *Los Merengues*, Florentino Perez, ‘will go for’ the [86-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sadio-mane/nationalmannschaft/spieler/200512/verein_id/3499) Senegal hero this summer.

Mane has earned an impressive [7.09 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/sadio-mane/217704) from 22 Premier League outings this season.

Described as [‘world class](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-news-jurgen-klopp-world-class-sadio-mane-a9608111.html)‘ by Jurgen Klopp, so far this term the former Red Bull Salzburg has [scored 11 times and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sadio-mane/leistungsdaten/spieler/200512) for the Reds.

Out of contract in 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sadio-mane/profil/spieler/200512)), Mane, along with Mohamed Salah, will be hoping for a new deal in the not too distant future.

However, following the capture of positional rival Luis Diaz, there is direct competition for the [£72million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sadio-mane/marktwertverlauf/spieler/200512) ace.

Unlikely to be short of suitors this summer, Liverpool may have to cash in on the Senegalese star shold no new deal be on the horizon.

In the meantime, Klopp will be delighted with their options between now and the end of the season – at which point a big decision may have to be made over a [number](https://www.transfermarkt.com/liverpool-fc/vertragsende/verein/31/vertragsendeJahr/2023) of important players.
