# Virals: Liverpool ‘agree’ deal for Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/03/gabby-agbonlahor-predicts-departures-for-liverpool-attacking-duo/) have reportedly made further strides in their move for Fulham starlet [Fabio Carvalho](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/02/virals-liverpool-move-for-fabio-carvalho-agreed-by-all-parties/).

The Reds just [missed out](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1558880/liverpool-transfer-news-fabio-carvalho-fulham-jurgen-klopp-deadline-day-latest) on securing the transfer for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder on deadline day and a complicated summer seemed inevitable.

However, multiple sources have continued to claim that all parties were [keen to reach a deal](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/liverpool-make-fabio-carvalho-move) prior to the end of the season.

Reliable journalist David Lynch has now told the [Liverpool Official Supporters Club Norway](https://www.liverpool.no/nyheter/2022/2/liverpool-og-fulham-er-enig-om-en-overgang-for-carvalho/) that the talks have come ‘much further’ than suggested elsewhere.

Translated on [Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/sjtypz/david_lynch_complete_agreement_between_liverpool/), the report states that Liverpool and Fulham have reached a ‘complete agreement’ for the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabio-carvalho/nationalmannschaft/spieler/559263/verein_id/31269) England Under 18 ace.

This season Carvalho – described as [‘fantastic’](https://www.westlondonsport.com/fulham/silva-hails-fantastic-carvalho-after-fulham-see-off-millwall) by Marco Silva – has scored [seven times and provided four assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabio-carvalho/leistungsdaten/spieler/559263) in 18 Championship outings.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £3.15million and out of contract at the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabio-carvalho/marktwertverlauf/spieler/559263)), paying the [mooted £8million fee](https://theathletic.com/3105302/2022/02/02/fabio-carvalho-why-8m-liverpool-transfer-collapsed-and-what-happens-next/) for the youngster may see like overspending.

But, in order to avoid the likely fierce competition or the possibility of a tribunal process – as with the [transfer of Harvey Elliott](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-fulham-harvey-elliott-compensation-fee-scott-parker-b919673.html) – the Reds are spot on to push for a sensible and swift conclusion to the deal.

Furthermore, clearly a top talent and one Jurgen Klopp would appear to have identified as a target, £8million could end up a bargain for a player with such [attacking flair](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/401385/Show/Fabio-Carvalho).
