# Virals: Liverpool ‘blocked from signing’ Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/17/kevin-ratcliffe-lauds-liverpool-youngster-neco-williams/) will reportedly see any attempt to sign Villarreal winger[Arnaut Danjuma](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/29/virals-liverpool-have-serious-interest-in-arnaut-danjuma/) fall of deaf ears in January.

The Reds have been [extensively linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfers-danjuma-admission-wonderkid-21253904) with the 24-year-old since the summer and could make their interest known once again in the mid-season window.

Reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently [claimed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHAv1GFazv8&t=1087s) that the Anfield club are ‘following’ the star’s progress in La Liga.

However, according to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-major-update-on-liverpool-bid-to-sign-danjuma-in-january-as-price-tag-revealed/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1637155924), as cited on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/footyinsider247/status/1460963960094695430), any winter move is off the table.

The report claims that whilst there is genuine interest from Liverpool in signing the [five-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/nationalmannschaft/spieler/355861/verein_id/3379) Dutchman, no deal will be considered just six months after arriving in Spain.

So far this season the ex-Bournemouth forward has [scored seven and assisted two goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdaten/spieler/355861) in 15 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £22.5million and under contract until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/marktwertverlauf/spieler/355861)), Danjuma only signed for the *Yellow Submarine* for [£21.3million](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12385050/arnaut-danjuma-villarreal-sign-winger-from-bournemouth-in-21-3m-deal) in August.

Predominantly a left-winger, the Dutch ace can also [operate from the right-hand side](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/355861) as well as centrally.

Boasting a host of [impressive attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/323625/Show/Arnaut-Danjuma) as well as a terrifying turn of speed, it’s easy to see why there would be serious interest from Jurgen Klopp in bringing Danjuma to Anfield.
