# Virals: Liverpool continue to ‘monitor’ Jude Bellingham

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/03/gary-neville-praises-unbelievable-job-done-by-jurgen-klopp/) will reportedly continue to ‘monitor’ Borussia Dortmund midfielder [Jude Bellingham](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/17/england-starlet-jude-bellingham-picks-steven-gerrard-as-number-one/) outside of the transfer window.

The Reds were [linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1478291/Man-Utd-Liverpool-Chelsea-Jude-Bellingham-transfer-latest-news-SNT) with a move for the 18-year-old sensation just 12 months after arriving in Germany from Birmingham City.

Any move failed to materialise as the Anfield club [took a watching brief](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/transfers/verein/31) throughout the summer months.

According to a report from [The Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1485221/liverpool-jude-bellingham-transfer-news-england-hungary-team-SNT), as cited by [The Anfield Buzz](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1433403074517798912) on Twitter, officials on Merseyside will keep a keen eye on the England starlet over the international break and beyond.

This season the teenager has already [scored once and registered two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/581678/saison/2021/wettbewerb/L1/verein/16) in three Bundesliga outings – earning an impressive [7.50 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/team/football/borussia-dortmund/2673) in the process.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Already [pulling up trees](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/581678) at first-team level, Liverpool should be keeping a very close watch on Bellingham’s development.

An open [admirer](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/jude-bellingham-steven-gerrard-liverpool-20714297) of Reds’ legend Steven Gerrard, it remains imminently possible the Anfield club could be frontrunners for the youngster.

Valued at £49.5million and under contract until 2025 in Germany ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jude-bellingham/marktwertverlauf/spieler/581678)), despite the tender age, this deal would still represent an expensive outlay.

However, with the [midfield](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) in need of a rejuvenation next summer, Bellingham fits the bill in every sense.
