# Virals: Liverpool could include squad player in move for Adama Traore

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/28/virals-liverpool-target-federico-chiesa-labelled-untouchable/) manager Jurgen Klopp could reportedly make Wolves winger [Adama Traore](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/28/virals-liverpool-preparing-30million-bid-for-adama-traore/) the top transfer priority this summer.

The Reds are first [attempting to clear the squad of fringe players](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-sell-11-players-millions-20264292) before sanctioning any further incomings following the arrival of Ibrahima Konate.

Having already [found permanent departures](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/transfers/verein/31) for Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic, Taiwo Awoniyi and Kamil Grabara in the window, the budget has already been boosted by in excess of £30million.

According to a report from [Marca](https://www.marca.com/futbol/mercado-fichajes/2021/07/28/6100fd7846163f75898b45e1.html), as cited by [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1420452006162878466) on Twitter, the next step could be including squad players in deals elsewhere.

The Spanish outlet describes the Reds as being ‘hell bent’ on landing the [rapid](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-leagues-top-10-fastest-22434963) Spanish forward.

Despite a [dip in goal contributions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/204103) last season, Traore seemingly remains a favourite of Klopp’s.

A graduate of Barcelona’s famous La Masia from [Under 16 level](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/transfers/spieler/204103) onwards, the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/nationalmannschaft/spieler/204103/verein_id/3375) Spain ace proved the ability to hurt sides during a phenomenal [match-winning brace](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/06/manchester-city-wolves-premier-league-match-report) against Manchester City in 2019.

Valued at £27million and under contract until 2023 at Molineux ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/marktwertverlauf/spieler/204103)),  Michael Edwards will no doubt fancy landing Traore at a bargain rate.

Wolves have previously [shown an interest](https://theathletic.com/news/liverpool-transfer-news-origi-wolves/EB5X36LxCJnS) in Divock Origi and the Belgian is a player with an uncertain future at Anfield.

Despite coming up with big moments during his time on Merseyside, the 26-year-old seems [short on suitors this summer](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/divock-origi-landmark-increases-pressure-21021056) and inclusion in a deal of this description may be best for all parties.

As for the likes of Takumi Minamino, Xherdan Shaqiri and Nat Phillips – [finding buyers for those](https://theathletic.com/2165708/2020/11/01/phillips-liverpool-west-ham/) would be an easier proposition and arguably all would raise more for the budget than Origi.
